SERVICES WE OFFER

SUPPORTED PARENTING TIME

Parenting time will be fully supported with a Court compliant report provided after the session.

Our highly experienced team support contact with great care and consideration, taking into account the specific needs of each child and family member. Contact will be closely monitored and the support worker will be able to step in at any point if necessary.

Our reports are detailed and cover all the important aspects of observation.

All our staff have an understanding of the issues that can lead to the need for parenting time to be supported and apply their knowledge and understanding to each case.

Our team can assist with challenging behaviour in children and we can provide advice and guidance to parents if needed and/or requested, before, during or after parenting time.

WHY NOT FULLY SUPERVISED?

At Familia Pathways, we offer community based contact sessions. Due to the varying nature of the venues that children may spend time with their parent (such as an activity or play centre where there are noises and other people) we are not able to offer fully supervised contact sessions.

The key difference between supported and fully supervised parenting time is that during the service we offer, a member of the team remains present at all times, but does not necessarily need the family members to be in direct sight and sound at all times.

A report will still be provided with our service. Particular attention will still be given to any concerns in each case, and the presentation of each child and parent/family member will be considered at the outset of each session. Any safeguarding concerns will be treated in the same way as those within a fully supervised case.

REPORTS FROM EACH SESSION

A report will be written following each observed session. These reports can be especially useful in Court proceedings in cases where the Court have ordered supervised or supported contact.

HANDOVERS

We can provide a friendly, neutral third party to conduct your handovers when parents or families are unable to do so themselves

REFERRAL

We have a referral form which can be requested via email. We charge a referral fee of £50. Once this is paid, we will add your case to our database and we can begin the provision of services.
